I'll also pipe in and tell you that an unviable fetus at three minths is termed a natural abortion, medically, and the main reason is what doctors called "a blighted ovum". This means there was quite likely an zygote which was so misformed that it spontaneously aborted. That's what the body does. And I suppose if I were a zealot who want to twist my believes about God and abortion into an unidentifiable mess, as some here do, I could make the statement that God "naturally aborts" many imperfect zygotes. But I won't say this because, like zeolotry of any kind, it's ludicrous. Also, the term "stillbirth" refers to fetuses farther along than your sister's. My deep sympathy goes out to her. Here are the accepted medical definitions: Stillbirth refers to babies born dead after 24 or more weeks completed gestation. Perinatal death refers to babies who are stillborn or die within the first 7 days of life. Neonatal death refers to deaths in the first 4 weeks of life. Miscarriage refers to babies born dead before 24 completed weeks gestation
