The RNC (Limabugh, Hannity, etc.) villainizing of "trial lawyers" (actually called litigation attorneys is dishonest. What they're really saying is "we've been paid off by big corporations to pass legislation to protect them from citizen lawsuits". We all agree on common sense tort reform. Also on making the plaintiff pay for frivilous lawsuit fees. The problem is, who defines frivolous? Sometimes it's obvious sometimes it's not. Same with obscenity. Are a woman's breasts obscene or ultra violence obscene? For some reason in the US violence is OK but a woman's body is obscene. Maybe they have it backwards.
