"so I stuck to the more common reasons."

I wasn't aware a study had been performed.

In any event, nuance, like oh so many other euphemisms in
politics, is all too frequently a PC way of smoothing over
what really takes place - like revising history, significantly
changing the meaning or tone of an actual event or what
was said. Political euphemisms always start out with
mostly benign origins, then move on to be abused under the
cover of this new benign term - Clinton nuanced the
meaning of "is" & "I never had sexual relations with that
woman". Ya, right.

I have no problems when folks use nuance properly.
Examining or debating slight but subtle differences, is
to nuance them. Distorting facts, reality, revising
history or debating significant differences is not nuance -
never was - never will be in my book. However, I see
nuance used all too often in this inappropriate manner on
the political landscape, including here.

I prefer to tell it like it is. And I don't nuance BS when
I see it.

"Ordinarily under these circumstances I would suggest
that you look the word up in the dictionary"

Trust me, I'm not as dumb as you portray me.

I simply prefer honest, accurate debate & eschew lies,
deceit & revisionist history, er, spin, nuance &
relativism.
