Hi Scott,

A Google search for "Truthout Hacked" brought up this page:
truthout.org

And the links on that page still work:
truthout.org

However, I can see that the site was hacked by some malicious jerk as an April Fool's Day prank. And I would not hesitate to call Karl Rove (and his ilk) the most likely suspect.
