If CBS didn't want an all-ACC final, then couldn't they have better achieved this by "assuring" that Ok. St. won in the opener? Wouldn't that have assured an East-West final no matter who won the other game, thus assuring maximum ratings? If they really wanted Duke to win, then why did they "allow" the officials to call two quick ticky-tack fouls on Okefor, UConn's best player, that forced him to sit on the bench for the all but the first four minutes of the first half? Was it the officials that caused Duke to miss all their shots in the last few minutes, or take poor low percentage attempts with time left on the play clock? I agree that the officials really screwed up the game, but to say they were "influenced" in any way is a big stretch.
