Thought you'd left SI for good to take up permanent residence in your new home was now ihub? Same old outcome evoked by you over at ihub?

I am a member in good standing on iHUB. The problem is extreme censorship. When I had a post deleted for saying "Oops!" it was the last straw. This post would be deleted for simply saying I had a post deleted.

Anyway, about your buggywhip analogy. Not even close. First off, Intel has an x86-64 bit product. In fact they have 2 64-bit product lines. The capacity is in place to produce almost limitless volumes of them, and unlike AMD, they do not have a history of manufacturing problems. So in short, both companies have already switched to the same technology. One can likely produce it at a profit while the other likely can not. In all likelyhood when competition drives the ASPs down then Intel's much lower cost production will return the Hammer to an endless sea of red ink. Maybe Flash can keep their head above water? I hope so because I am an AMD investor.
