Me,

Read my previous post. Then look at PowerComputing ads in MacWorld and MacUSER.

Here is some 4th hand insider gossip for you nice people who invest in Apple. The OS license debacle was planned folks. Apple has been ramping up its production capabilities and was biding its time. Now is the time.

One more factor - Apple is abandoning some of its imageing production. Probably putting it into better production of core computers, especially the high end stuff which it has historically not been able to keep up with.

My guess is that PowerComputing is a goner. Apple can't loose here, if PComputing goes under, Apple will not only gain apparent share but will probably be quite a bit more profitable than it is letting on. If Apple buys PComputing it is in a position to get it cheap. Ed Access under Apples thumb.

Apple has put cheaper slow drives in the new 9600 and 8600 computers, probably to keep the price down. BUT (same inside gossip) the January Macs will have an 80 Mgz bus and 450 Mgz chips...BURNERS...with Rhapsody...SMOKIN'!
