So your solution would be to limit the right of the families of those the male nurse killed to sue for damages from the hospitals that hired him, supervised him and for whom he was an agent?

I'd like to see liability laid back on the hospitals that discharged him and failed to tell others of the reasons for his discharge or, worse yet, failed to investigate his actions for fear of having to face their own liability.

It wasn't lawsuits that perpetuated that travesty, it was people that put money ahead of lives. Lawsuits are the best cure for people like that. You have to make it MORE expensive to do the WRONG thing, not less expensive.

Frivolous lawsuits do no good for victims, defendants or society. Meritorious lawsuits, on the other hand, create justice for victims, benefit society by placing the financial burden on those that cause the loss and modify the behavior of potential defendants by making them include all the costs of negligence in their decision making process.

Don't be fooled by the pervasive propaganda of the multi-billion dollar insurance industry and huge financial interests.
