You are as good at distorting the point as AS. The trait must be a characteristic of Kerry supporters.

What I would limit would the right of fired people to sue the place they were fired from for disclosing why they were fired. The point was and is - if someone gets a bad reference from a prior employer they can sue the prior employer. Then with the courts the way they are - the litigant and the lawyers win and the public is unprotected.

Assuming you have a job - what does your company say to do when you recieve an enquiry about a former employee - simply state that the person worked there - or simply say it is against company policy to comment on such matters.

Now does that really serve the public good?
