Russ:

Thanks for the link to the Chilean report.

Regarding the LME stocks, do you have a subscription to the LME site? I can only see the day-old stocks -- i.e. for April 2nd. If not, how do you get the current day's stocks?

The tin figure is remarkable. By my reckoning the stocks have been falling at 450 tonnes per day for the last 11 days. At this rate, they'll be totally exhausted in 14 days! I've *never* been able to watch just what happens as major warehouse stocks evaporate. Will some miraculous source of supply appear? Will they cease trading in tin? Will the price go to the moon? <LOL>

6,000 tonnes is a such tiny amount for world stocks of anything. Apparently Dell's decision to switch to lead-free solder will alone take another 10,000 tonnes of tin off the market in the next year. Maybe that's who's buying?

Either way, something's got to give, and we'll see what it is within the next 3 weeks. Fascinating...

Best regards,
Howy
