The cost of oil is very volatile. New drilling is a big commitment. If the cost stays where it is or increases you will see more offshore drilling.

That's what everyone has been saying for months now.


"Months now", is a very short amount of time in this context. If it was "years now" you might have a point.

Its not a wounded animal.....it and other terrorist orgs. are growing stronger.

The available evidence is mixed but it doesn't seem to be pointing strongly in that direction, particularly in regards to Al Qaeda. Other terrorist orgs may indeed have gotten stronger.

Terrorism is on the increase and the threat to the US is heightened.

I'm not so sure that the threat to the US is worse then it was in late 2001. I think it more likely that the threat is less but even if it has actually increased slightly that would not amount to an impressive failure by Bush both because the increase in the threat would not be impressive and because without Bush's actions the threat could have increased a lot more.
