AMD is making money now, and as long as they are cash flow positive and have plenty of cash for ops (which they do), thats all that should matter.

Here is a schedule of AMD's debt payments due:

2004 $193 Million
2005 $536 Million
2006 $473 Million
2007 $456 Million
2008 $16 Million
2009+ $535 Million

AMD's total profitability over it's entire lifetime is very near $0.00.

You still think AMD is in a better position than Intel?

Intel has some things up their sleeve with these new solid state TVs and if they can get that going then Intel will be poised well for the future but right now with new ventures as unknown AMD is a better investment than Intel.

Perhaps you haven't noticed but Intel has done quite nicely without and HDTV products.
