Well, I adopted a child of a different "race," a child many would consider "black." He is now a man, a glorious man in my order of men-- the top male child of eight male children. There were no nights of sadness, no confusion or anything of the sort, because I did not leave my precious boy to suffer in the fantasy that culture is naturally attached to biological features, that since he has a certain feature set, he has suffered a loss of culture by sharing culture with me, his dad. Culture is just TCP/IP for humans. Adoption need not be a thing of fear in any case. It is not only an alternative to abortion. It is the only humanly valid alternative.
