AMD will have to make a ton of money just to pay off the debt they have. AMD's D/E is approaching 1, INTC's is close to zero! Most of AMD's debt is convertible, and will turn into equity in the long run. And most of the convertible debt has been hedged, so the eventual conversion is priced into the share price already.
