My compliment that you are our resident DU authority was definitely not misplaced (although Bulow comes a close second).

I can understand that the US doesn't give a damn about polluting Bosnia or Iraq or anywhere else with radiation and the other toxic effects of uranium, but what I can't understand is why they don't give a damn about the American soldiers. In fact, it seems to me that the GIs would be the first to believe their government's outright lie that DU is "safe" and that their government "cares".

Indeed, when I think about how little the US government cares about Americans (and even less about anyone else, of course) I am always amazed at the power of brain-washing. And, the most amazing thing about the brain-washing is how the brain-washed haven't the slightest clue that they, in fact, are --- to the extent that they would even be prepared to give up their lives at the behest of the very agency which treats them so shabbily.
