I don't think public support for the Iraq war is steady. What Pew is measuring is the level of support for the troops, and a desire to finish the job now that we've started it. That is a completely different emotion than supporting the war, and support for Bush who singlehandedly started this war.

Those photos of the burned bodies hanging on the bridge in Fallujah are really damning. And there is a human face on it, apparently one of the guys killed was an attractive young stuntman who had interviewed with Entertainment Tonight (they are repeating his interview every night for the past few nights).

Scott Helvenston: Fallen Hollywood Hero

This morning on ABC's "Good Morning America," Helvenston's friend, former Green Beret GARTH ESTADT, remembered him tearfully, saying, "I can't imagine he's not going to walk through the door and give me a big hug. If you have a friend like that you're a rich man."
