Well, then Clarke must be insane. Because he testified that he thinks it was OK.

But Clarke did not field this request directly from the Saudi embassy, he got the request from someone that would be dealing with the embassy, ie the state department or the White house.

Nobody knows who passed the request on to Clarke or whether it came directly to Clarke from the Saudi embassy, not even Clarke. And that is what he testified to.
