Hi Hawkmoon; Re: "It was probably inevitable that their were eventually be a showdown between CPA and Sadr's militias."

What you meant to write was "it is inevitable that there will be a showdown between the CPA and Sadr's militia", and you meant to write it before it became part of history.

Now, after the fact, you look on the rosy side of the worst Anglo-American fiasco since the war of 1812 and say that Sistani hasn't commented on it, LOL.

Hey, if we stay in Iraq long enough, eventually we will be fighting Sistani too.

If Sistani asks his millions to fight us will you agree that it is hopeless? Will you agree that we should leave? Or will you be sitting there trying to put a shine on our Kurdish allies?

By the way, I'm wondering how many troops you think the pacification of Iraq is worth. That is, how many Americans in uniform do you think is too many to send there, and how many body bags is too many to get back. If you refuse to give a number, then I will use the figure 20,000,000 because that's about as many kids as we can draft.
