I think it is looking very good for Kerry. The economy is unlikely to have rebounded strongly by Nov., and the situation in Iraq will still be a mess.

Catching Osama will give Bush a boost, but I doubt it will be enough. I used to think another terrorist attack in the US would help Bush, but now I think it will just remind people that we have 100,000 troops in iraq fighting off non-terrorist sunnis and shiites.

Also I think if the 9/11 commission report gets held up past the election it will help Kerry. The report is unlikely to contain any smoking guns, better for Kerry for people to speculate on what it might contain.
