I hope, for the sake of our country, that it turns out better than I expect it will. Even if Bush gets the credit for it, it would be nice if the Iraqi people get a better life out of this foolish, foolish, throw of the dice by our administration. Unfortunately, I have never thought democracy, or even stability (under any government), in Iraq had much chance, now that the lid is off the ethnic rivalries. We were stupid to take the lid off. When Saddam died, it probably would have blown up on its own, but the US would not have taken the blame for it. More fool us, or US. :-( Our leaders are stupid men, who know nothing of history, and who obviously cannot process even current data. It is a terrible thing to be led by the blind- but this leaves a tremendous opening for a one eyed man. (Perhaps this is too arcane- but I refer to the saying "In the kingdom of the blind, the one eyed man is king..."
