Well, it's easy to get over it, if you are not affected by it I guess.

I'm sorry - but your statement that everyone you know that wants a job - has one.

May be true in your case. But - big but - I doubt you know many IT people - say 30-50 of them. If you did, you could not make that statement.

The question is not whether everyone you know can get a job - the question is whether we should do this to an entire industry. I say no. Guess it's time to get organized...

It is not just a small thing though.

Most IT people know someone that has been affected, as my article pointed out.

I think at this point, it is up to the IT people first, and others - to organize to prevent it. Apparently, most of the rest of the country doesn't care about the group - or
care what happens.

This was at the end of the article:
Many feel powerless. In 2003, Kevin Flanagan was laid off from Bank of America after training foreign workers. He shot and killed himself in the parking lot in Concord, Calif.

His death galvanized other information technology workers, who have staged protests against outsourcing. Members of Congress opposed to the practice also have used his case as a call to action.

"We were very saddened by the death of our associate," says Bank of America spokeswoman Mary Waller.

"Our thoughts and prayers went out to the family and co-workers. ... We determine the best way to transition processes so services are maintained."

Personally - I don't think it is a small problem. I think something has to be done about it.
