Mark....I believe you have misunderstood my post. I agree to the fact that as a "trader" one should probably exit such securities before earnings announcments. As an "investor" one should continue to hold such securities through earnings announcements. Dell is simply a stock that doesn't adhere to the normal practices of "trading". Take today as an example. Gapped +2 before bell. Trescomm International(TRES) has avg. volume of around 50k. Friday they traded 718,000 with stock advancing +3/8. It has gone from 7 1/4 to 8 in the last few days. It has all the indications of a buyout...
