LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 19, 1997--In response to a large number
of inquiries from investors and other interested parties, Struthers Industries,
Inc. (OTC:SIIS) announced today that it is in the final stages of negotiation
with potential investment partners on a plan to strengthen the Company's financial
standing and allow it to continue the implementation of its business plan.

Raoul Carroll, Struthers' chairman, said, "We have taken time to carefully
examine many possible strategies, and are nearing the end of serious and
substantive discussions that would lead to revitalizing the Company's
