Calhoun has really mellowed since getting prostate cancer. Geno is a walking sound-bite. The dichotomy with him is that his demeanor comes off as arrogant while his words are usually the opposite (e.g. "We have Diana and you don't," meaning it's not his coaching, it's Taurasi who makes UConn great). Of course, it's easy to come off as magnanimous when you win.

As much as I didn't think I liked Pat Summitt (which I admit was based on her unhappy demeanor all those times she has lost to UConn; who wouldn't appear cold), I really felt bad for her this time. Every sound bite from not only her but from her kids was not just why UConn had their number (the last five times they played, not to mention all three of UConn's titles had been at their expense) but how it felt. The media even plunged the dagger in again after the loss. For what Tennessee accomplished this year, the team deserved more respect. Based on their recruiting class (which includes Candace Parker, who beat the men in this years Powerade slam-dunk contest), Tennessee will be competitive for years to come.
