Well, whatever. I don't think it's a laughing matter the way Bush lied to the country and brought us into an unconstitutional war that has hurt our prestige in the world and cost 100s of American lives and injured 1,000s, many with serious dibilitating injuries. If conservatives don't see something wrong with this picutre, then it just shows how misguided they are. Pat Buchanan is one conservative who is honest enough to speak the truth about how Bush and company are running this country like a Bannan Republic. If that's the sort of government you want, one that lies about serious matters dealing with war and peace, one that doesn't follow the Constitution when going off to war, one that blows off the rest of the world and makes us look like bafoons, then go for it, vote for Bush. I don't know why anyone would want more of the same nonsense coming out of DC for the past 3 years (unless you're a millionare and profiting from it)?!? The Dems are only slightly less appealing on these matters than the Repubs.
If I had my way, we'd be living in more of a Green manner, with money being spent on peaceful pursuits to make our country a better place to live for all, not blowing $200 Billion half way around the world chasing WMDs that don't exist, and lying on top of it all. But, we'll never persue sensible policies like that, so I have to go with the party that at least tries to move the country in that direction, the Dems. |
