I agree that Apple's sales into *any* market haven't been particularly stellar in the past, and nothing's to assure that sales will be any better in the future. However, I think there's a lot to be said for targeting the educational market. How do you think the world ended up with all these Mac fanatics in the first place? They were exposed to the machines early on and were able to grow with them. It's just like people who love those old cars they drove to the Drive-In, so they buy and refurbish the classics. There's not a hot market for classic auto sales, but that market's going to be around as long as people can attach fond memories to the use of a machine.
