Shiite militiamen were drawn from the Sunni Triangle towns of Baquba, Balad, Samarra and Al Muqdaryah to launch a ferocious assault on the US Marine compound in Ar Ramadi

So far I've seen no "reliable" source to confirm this. I do believe that the beleaguered Sunni insurgents in Ramadi and Fallujah view Sadr as an ally. Why shouldn't they? He has courted them for months to provide a united front against the occupation. It may have been the danger of this union that caused Bremer to move against Sadr. I'm wondering if Faux News got their info from Debka yesterday, when they reported that Shia attacked the Marines in Ramadi. There seem to be good reports that there were Sadr banners exhibited in Ramadi, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the fighters were Shia.
