The bombing of the mosque will likely raise the question: How best does the US evacuate its soldiers from Iraq?

You see, the bombing of the mosque will mean even the moderate Shiites will now tilt against the US occupation.

Clearly, the only happy Iraqis are the Kurds.

Could it be possible that the US will use the military of the Kurds much like it did the Northern Alliance in order to gain control of Iraq's key cities? Is this what's to come? Or will the US leave Iraq unsettled?

Having our soldiers stand out as sitting ducks is not a viable option. So one of the two above scenarios must play out, short of a complete and thorough US military occupation. But committing such large numbers of US troops would leave the US vulnerable to other areas of the world where Al Qaeda has become even more organized.

Probably best to start making the bumper stickers now: STUPID BUSH!
