Cheers. Part of My thinking is Colored By My Own
impatience with the situation. So there's some heavy-duty bias there. I am bored and restless after 24 months of keenly watching it all unfold. I have made money in my reflation trades, gone to cash several times, and am sitting on gains. And, now I want some answers.
But there's another part of my gut which truly does sense the Re-Flationary Period is about to give birth to some real answers, some serious and real outcomes that we can point to and say--wow, look what's happened. The Re-Flationary period is about to offer up its truth.
It's always "happening" of course but as you can see I'm looking for some crystalization at this point. Iraq and the November election and the 911 commission are offering up trigger points. The ferocious Bear Market rally also provides a trigger, a place to get things started, from those high levels.
And then there's my glum feeling there's nothing to buy. India, China, Coal stocks, Iron Ore, Technology, Nanotechnology, Real Estate REITS, bonds, land prices in Kabul...soybeans, corn, copper...it's all gone Whoosh upwards and there's nothing to buy right now. IMO.
ANd remember: Americans DO NOT muddle through. That's for the Japanese and the British. Not Americans.
With us, with Americans it's GOT to be Joy, or Despair.
We're manic like that. |
