The XT:1400 is a 0.93 NA dry tool with the possibility of a wet version six to nine months later depending on demand, we hear. Apparently the roadmap has always been like this; there is no change of direction, but ASML probably will launch the machine twice, once as a dry system and then as a wet system.

The development timeframe for the 1400 preceded the excitement in immersion and therefore favored an initially dry launch, so we hear.

Sounds plausible. As we said time and Semicon Europa will tell.
