Hello Kevin

Here is the good news FINALY!

NEW KIMBERLITE FOUND IN NWT ON BACK LAKE PROPERTY

BACK LAKE PROJECT (SUF 70%, KALAHARI RESOURCES 30%)
---------------------------------------------------

TORONTO, Aug. 19 /CNW/ - SouthernEra Resources Limited (SUF-T) is pleased
to announce a new kimberlite discovery on the Back Lake property. The
kimberlite body is land based and was discovered during detailed follow-up of
a strong indicator mineral train. Manual trenching and pitting has exposed
kimberlite on surface over a minimum area of 30 metres in diameter. Outside of
this area, the presence of large boulders in the till makes manual excavation
difficult. Processing of a small portion of green clay kimberlite in camp has
returned 2 macrodiamonds from plus 0.5mm sieve screen material. The largest
diamond is 0.80mm in one dimension. Both diamonds are clear and white in
colour.
One till sample down-ice of the kimberlite returned 24 pyrope garnets, of
which 9 are G10's. The kimberlite contains both peridotitic and eclogitic
nodules. In addition, other indicator minerals including chromites and
ilmenites are also present.
Ground geophysical surveys over the kimberlite are currently underway.
Diamond drilling is expected to commence in early September, 1997.
A large scale till sampling program covering both the MacKay and Back
Lake properties is ongoing, with a total of 1700 till samples to be collected
by the end of August. Till sampling is mainly concentrating on the six known
kimberlite indicator trains that exist in the Munn Lake area in order to
further define the trains and locate their sources.
The Company continues to be encouraged by the progress on both the MacKay
and Back Lake properties. Further results will be released as they become
available.

Enjoy the ride.

Regards
