This is America, man -- land of the "free" ("free" actually means something different now under Homeland Security), the "brave" ("brave" actually means something different now under ENRON, WCOM, etc.), and the "truth" ("truth" actually means something different now under Kudlow, Greenspasm, etc.).
Gold is WAY too heavy. So are commodities. We want "paper" -- nice, thin green paper. It's easy to store, easy to spend, and it's FREE. Oh, I forgot, that means something else now, doesn't it?
