Not quite right. It's amazing how some people are so ignorant of the facts:
We didn't start the war on terror. Try to remember, it was started by terrorists BEFORE 9/11.
This war goes back to when Schwarzkopf and the CIA engineered the coup in Iran getting rid of the legally elected Mossedeq government and installing the Shah who was another Hitler. We were also big buddies with Saddam during the Iran/Iraq war. We've basically put ourselves in a NO WIN position in the Middle East. We can't back down and it's futile to fight them because we are just creating more terrorists and enemies. We can't win for loosing.
FDR led us into World War II. Germany never attacked us: Japan did. From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost, an average of 112,500 per year. Truman finished that war and started one in Korea, North Korea never attacked us. From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost, an average of 18,333 per year.
Yup. Except the Liberals were there first, in Spain, fighting against Franco and Hitler. While right wingers were selling Hitler arms and equipment at big profits.
.John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam never attacked us. Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire. From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost, an average of 5,800 per year.
Nope. Not even close. A bad president yes. But our involvement in Vietnam goes back to our abrogation of the Geneva Accords in 1952. Eisenhower and Truman both put troops in Vietnam after the French got their buts rightfully kicked at Dien Bien Phu. The French deserved it. Our kids did not.
President Bush has liberated two countries
Kuwait is a dictatorship. Iraq is not free and it's doubtful if it will be free in the next 20 years. Unless we have elections which the Shiites would win. Duh! It's more likely that it will eventually split into 3 counties after a civil war which weve made worse.
We also have the worst relations we've had with Europe in years, terrible debt, even worse than during the Reagan years, huge unemployment and falling wages, and we are now locked in a giant mirror of the Israel/Palestine cycle of revenge. How we can get out nobody knows.
