gongoman: Those "concepts" from the conference sound like the old, traditional Wall Street bullish mantra for long term investing and indicative of their denial or lies about what companies should be doing. The only thing that is important is what companies are actually doing.

Insiders have been selling like crazy for some time now, and companies sometimes say they are going to buy back stock but then don't end up doing that when they need the money for other things.

Some are increasing their dividends but the S&P 500 dividend yield is much lower than it has been historically, and much lower than when the market has been at mkt bottoms, which is when p/e's are near 10 and yields are over 5%.

Did you gain any real knowledge from it? How will it help you in your trading?

I can't help being cynical of Wall Street type conferences which focus on traditional fundamental analyses.

Take care,

Dr.Bob
