Did I say lie, then I should have said Bush misinformed the American people. I'm sure I didn't say lie. Anyway, Bush is very much like Nixon was during the spat between India and Pakistan in the early 70s. Nixon saw the red menace in India, despite all reports to the contrary. Kissinger even told his staff, when they prepared studies for the president that indicated the greater threat lied with Pakistan, that their report was not what the president wanted to see. Kissinger even sent his staff back to revise intelligence reports and other documentation to say what the president wanted the reports to say. Bush didn't lie, he just saw what he wanted to see and proceeded from there. Clarks recent statement back me up.
