IPIX soars 55% on heavy volume (IPIX)
Shares of IPIX Corp. (IPIX) rocketed up $5.47, or 55 percent, to $15.34 after the company said it has entered into an agreement in which Abstract Security will resell its surveillance cameras. Volume was 25.4 million shares, already more than 9 times the full-day average. The stock has now run up 547 percent since the March 26 close of $2.37. On March 29, the company had said a test of its 360 degree surveillance system at a four-lane tunnel between Tennessee and Kentucky was successful. U.S. Congressman Wamp, a member of the Homeland Security subcommittee of the House Appropriations Committee, followed by saying he would "love to see these cameras widely deployed in the nation's critical infrastructure."
