New version of readmsgs.aspx is running on Dev now, as is the new version of readmsg.aspx that goes with it.

readmsg has gained two links to take you into what I like to call "batch" mode. By default, they'll say "Previous 10" and "Next 10", and will let you read the previous or next 10 messages accordingly.

Here's the cool part: Hit the "Options" menu button (on the right, next to "Logout") and change the "Batch message-read size" to a different number from the dropdown, click the "Save Changes" button, then go back to your Subjectmarks and click the new message count for one of your subjectmarked boards.

See the difference? The numbers after "Previous" and "Next" are now what you selected in the Options menu and when you hit those links, that's how many messages you'll get.

It's configurable for anything between 10 and 100 messages.

And just so the more savvy folks will know, there's an intentional "bug" in it. Note the URL when you click Previous xx or Next xx and you'll see a parameter called BatchSize. There's nothing to prevent you from changing that to any number you like. Not yet anyway. So feel free to put in numbers in the thousands if you like so I can see this server under more heavy loading.

When we get closer to production (or if the server's overutilized because of this "bug"), I'll trap BatchSize and slap your virtual wrist if the number isn't between 10 and 100. <g>
