Not just the French but 100 other countries. The rightwing has demonized the French, as if they're commie leftists, but don't forget, you also have Canada, Mexico, Russia, Germany, China and every moderate Arab country including Turkey which we badly needed in Iraq. Many of Bush's so-called allies in Iraq are now pulling out. This is because other countries don't like being lied to and manipilated, especially in a lost cause. The only way out of Iraq now is a new administration who can say to the world, we are starting over here.
