What she did not satisfactorily answer is why she failed to get Dick Clarke in front of the President for "a direct briefing from the highest terrorism expert." There was not a lot of new information came up.

Dr. Rice herself gave a strong performance in that she did not falter, she was not nervous etc. But on the substance level she did not do much. She should have at least expressed sorrow at the loss of life to the families who were present in the hearing room. That is the minimum the Administration could have done.
