Hello Elmat, The situation on the ground is possibly not improving, or not improving as rapidly as hoped for.
I remain bullish that all will work out OK for caring democratic forces backed by the full faith of the electorates in the homelands, even if all the coalition troops except the US remain, to fight on, for the victory that must be around the corner.
Losing control of a few cities due to enveloping chaos is not the same as suffering defeats at the hands of organized forces. Besides, battle defeats is common in progress towards final victory.
Do not be concerned.
I am figuring victory will be in the bag within a few months, the objectives are worthwhile and noble, the costs tolerable and necessarily affordable.
I am figuring that I may be able to safely rotate out of my energy shares, unload my Canadian Oil Sands, and pile into techland, even though the valuation is high by historical standard and lots of other meaningless standard in this new era of super low interest rate and duper productive macro economy where hundreds of thousands of jobs are created for a new class of entrepreneurs/part-timers willingly toil without much bothersome benefit costs to their clients.
A brave new age is dawning, and all will work out, as evidenced by the simple and observable fact that we are still here.
Buy shares, especially those that will go up.
Chugs, Jay
