I disagree with the facts of your premise. Clinton responded both overtly and covertly against Al Qaeda for attacks on our citizens.

My post as worded inartfully. I should have said "Do you disagree with the premise that eight years of uncertain and ineffective reaction to repeated attacks on our citizens and military..." Clinton passed up a variety of opportunities to neutralize Bin Laden and Al Quaeda, and his attempts to strike back were ineffective and gave Bin Laden & Co. the impression they could strike us with impunity. Curious, isn't it, that the person who thwarted efforts of Al Quaeda to bomb jetliners was a Phillipina policewoman, and not anyone from our government.

I hate to burst your bubble, but the USS Cole was attacked on October 12, 2000. That would be during Clinton's watch.
