I definitely see bias in that story. Re: "But the key allegation in the book - that the Bush team was obsessed with Iraq even when faced with overwhelming evidence that it was Al Qaeda that was attacking the United States - can't be dismissed by assertions that he was out of the loop.....Coll notes, as does Clarke, that the Bush team didn't hold its first cabinet-level meeting on Al Qaeda and Afghanistan until Sept. 4, one week before the twin towers fell."

But we can dismiss his "key allegation if we remember that Bush in fact first focused on Afghanistan and Al Qaeda, not Iraq. That cabinet level meeting of Sept. 4th apparantly was the culmination of planning stronger efforts against Al Qaeds which had been going on nearly since Bush first took office 8-9 months before, which in fact incorporated Clarke's early advice. Rather thin criticism, IMO.
