Hello Malcolm, <<... these days, real estate, oil/gas/coal energy, and gold. Is J6P buying such things? How can we know? ... Could somebody out there who knows Joe Six Pack, tell us what he's doing?>>

I do not know Joe Six Pack, and am not sure what he is buying, selling or holding, because each time I ask, I get very useful answers I am sure, but that confuses me:

'I do not discuss buy/sell/hold'

or even more helpful,

'I buy stocks that go up',

or, enchantingly,

'I bought last year at some point, everything is up, will be up some more, I do not want to tell you how much more, so I am not advocating any position; and btw, don't buy options, that's gambling. Buy stocks, that's investment'

... and I am told I must not profit from the misery of others loss, thus complicating the whole discussion with a moral aspect that is, let's say, darkly illuminating on the thought process behind such lecturing.

I must not profit from other's loss. That leaves me at either the mercy of having to lose at other's gain, or win at other's gain, unless I can figure out how to lose at other's loss (this is actually easy, when I think about it).

And so I am learning to close my mind to unboolish thoughts, stop the questioning, and just consider buy, only buy, never sell, forget about timing, never mind about environment, dismiss the dire news, but for god's sake, buy, at all cost, by any valuation.

For a moment there I thought folks were writing but not reading what they write, but now I think I am getting it finally, and feel positively reborn.

Try it, you will like it, and it will be good for you.

I am now a better man.

Chugs, Jay
