A temporary lull in the action is not unusual. We get to rearm, reequip, and relocate our forces. We may have run out of lucrative targets for the moment. The enemy gets to bury their dead and witness first-hand the results of fighting us. If they seem to have lost any of the will to fight, leaders must have a chance to move around and negotiate. We called a temporary cease-fire. You can count on any offensive action by them to be confronted with very high intensity. Combat in cities is very expensive from a casualty point of view. If they wish to continue, this also gives them an opportunity to mass more of their forces. We would prefer to attack them in large groups.
