I don't buy the refinery argument,as I live just 25 miles from a refinery that Marathon/Ashland bought and closed and demolished, no less, just two years after the old owners Total Petroleum spent 600 million dollars to upgrade it. This all took place in the late 90's, so you can't tell me their foresight was that bad. You still have not answered the question of why we are buying at these prices. It wouldn't have anything to do with big oil profits, would it? I will go with the opinion of Lawrence Kudlow, as to whether or not OPEC will start pumping like crazy or not.
