<<<'I buy stocks that go up',>>>
That is a good place to start. It is much better than not buying stocks that others have bought and profiting from. Of course that is far better than borrowing stocks that are going up and selling same.
<<<I am told I must not profit from the misery of others loss>>>
You could find happiness profiting from the misery of others, but for many making sure the people you deal with also profit is important. Heck, even Donald Trump tells us that is the way to go. I think what they are trying to tell us is that it may be just as easy if not easier (not to mention for the soul) to make money when everyone gets at least something.
<<<unless I can figure out how to lose at other's loss (this is actually easy, when I think about it).>>>
I am not so sure it is that easy to sell people on a lose/lose situation. But why would anyone even think about that.
<<<stop the questioning, and just consider buy, only buy, never sell, forget about timing, never mind about environment, dismiss the dire news, but for god's sake, buy, at all cost, by any valuation.>>>
I think you are underestimating the intelligence of others. I don't even think people who (perish the thought) may not like you would give you such advice.
My advice to you Jay, is to be nice. Don't make fun of us. I am only trying to give you the best advice I can. You may be smarter, but I am older. That should account for something.
Try it, you may like it, and it could be good for you.
