Democratic deficit indeed. Parachuting an NDPer as a Liberal candidate??? There's a woman who's been campaigning for the Liberal nomination in a Calgary riding for two years, quit a thriving career to do it, but the party brass won't set a date for a nomination meeting because they're still hoping a 'star' candidate will surface for the riding. They're treating this incredibly dedicated (even if she is IMO misguided <g>) woman like crap. They had two or three 'star' candidates running here last time, all of whom got whupped.
