I think the main point was how very useful church attendance is for predicting "Red State / Blue State" political tendencies.

(Typical though how you focused only on a statement that played to your particular political bias... instead of the predictive ability of this metric.)

Attend church more than once per week = strong Republican.

Attend church less then once per month = strong Democrat.

Attend about once per month = the dividing line... near equal split.
