Andy, I think that Rarebird is implying that the chart determines when it makes sense to buy. The fundamentals let you know whether the company is currently under or over-valued. As you know, timing is everything. The chart is simply another (excellent) tool to determine purchase and sale timing. You don't have to believe it, but if you're a serious investor, it makes sense to read a little about it. I suspect you're a momentum type of guy. Read the O'Neil book (I think it's called "How to Make Money on Wall Street"). He's the guy who created Investor's Business Dailey (the momentum hunter's bible).
