The fact is that we are flushing out terrorists from just about everywhere.

Is it ugly? Yes. Would I personally want to be there at the age of 50? Maybe.

If we, in the history of the United States of America, have acknowledged certain truths, such as the rights of blacks to be free of slavery, under President Lincoln, and the Civil Rights Act, Women's Equality, and other very important human rights issues within our own country and generation, I cannot see how we do not have the duty to extend similar rights, including freedom itself, on an International basis, to other human beings around the planet.

It is our duty, as "human beings."
